A D I R A is a digital theatre performance and an autobiographical adaption of "Alice In Wonderland", focusing on mental health and expressing existential anxiety. The performance was devised as a solo show with and by Maren Eikli Hiorth during the isolation of Covid-19. A D I R A is Hiorth’s extended practical project from the MA in Theatre-Making at the University of York, England.
A D I R A is about a young woman, Adira, whom subconsciously has lost herself to her own anxiety. Within the world of a nightmare, she is set off on an inner journey that leads her to face the truth. Will Adira save herself and wake up?
