MAREN EIKLI HIORTH

Maren Eikli Hiorth (1992) is an international working director, writer and theatre instructor. She was born in Oslo, Norway. Hiorth is currently living in Halden, Norway.

 

Hiorth has also been working professionally as an actress almost her entire life. For instance, she played the lead in the award-winning short film "Outside Looking In" (2000) by Nina Grünfeld, Valborg in the film sequels "Olsenbanden jr. at the Cirkus" (2005), and "Olsenbanden jr. and the Silver Mine Mystery" (2006) by Arne Lindther Næss and Nordisk Film, and Caroline in the Norwegian TV-series Match (2019) by Martin Lund and NRK. 

 

Hiorth has a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Theatre from Oslo Metropolitan University, a Postgraduate Certificate in teaching Theatre from Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and a Master's degree in Theatre-Making from the University of York, England. She became the faculty's Valedictorian in 2020 after being awarded the "Outstanding Project Prize" from her Master's performance "A D I R A."
